Georgia Lewin Genwright (known on the stage as "GG") is a Missionary and Psalmist, ministering the word in song and praise. "GG" was born and raised in the beautiful island of Jamaica. "GG" learned early to walk by faith as she was blessed to be raised by Christian parents. She taught for 5 years in Jamaica before transitioning into full time missions.
From the age of 12, Georgia recognized the call of GOD on her life. Her musical gift and talent surfaced in Jamaica where she performed and ministered in many settings and events with such Gospel artists as Papa San, Lieutenant Stichie and The Grace Thrillers. "GG" began to add song writing to her talents by 1990 as she released her single "Plea Da Blood" in 2001 with the J.C. Records label in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Georgia also had the opportunity to host a television show in Montego Bay called Crown Vision.
Georgia's missionary work included ministering in Gambia-West Africa, Hong Kong - China, Cuba and many parts of the United States. Part of her education included graduating from St. Catherine High School (Spanish Town Jamaica) and the University Of West Indies. Georgia also received a diploma in Theology from the Jamaica Open Bible Institute. She is currently pursuing further education at Strayer University.
Georgia met her husband Minister Anthony Genwright at Hezekiah Walker's church as they were both performing and ministering at a concert. The name of Anthony Genwright's group was "A Gift from GOD". They both have performed in concerts with the Dixie Hummingbirds and Blind Boys Of Mississippi.
Georgia released her latest CD, "Come Together" with BDG Records in May 2010. Most of the songs on this CD titled "Come Together" were produced and written by "GG", Georgia Genwright.
